He working group V of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities dedicated to Open Government, Economy and Business met on June 19 with the participation of technical teams from 15 cities.
The meeting had 3 central questions around which the following contents were presented:
1.- The Secretary of State for Digital Advancement (SEAD) presented the status of the initiatives promoted by the SEAD, focusing mainly on the developments in shared services for the implementation of laws 39/2015 and 40/2015.
2.- Actions of the Valencia Provincial Council on Smart City data collection architecture based on the Sentilo platform.
The Valencia Provincial Council presented us with its advances in the field of smart platforms for the management and visualization of data from the different urban sensors installed in the city.
In this sense, they presented their progress with the Sentilo platform in combination with other tools that they are designing to adapt to the Smart City architecture of any Valencian city that needs data openness and interoperability in a simple way.
3.- Barcelona City Council, through the Municipal Data Office, explained to us its proposed Smart City data collection architecture through the CityOS Project.
The CityOS project is an open source big data-based infrastructure that serves as a single window for access and internal data management.
