9th International Telecommunication Union Green Standards Week: Valencia, October 1-4

RECI participates in the 9th Green Standards Week

The Valencia City Council, through the Valencia Smart City Office, has been proposed by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a United Nations agency, to host the 9th Edition of Green Standards Week to be held from October 1 to 4.

The event, of an international nature, is organized by United Nations and serves as a platform for debate and exchange of knowledge. The aim is to raise awareness about the importance and opportunities of using information and communication technologies (ICT) to protect the environment, achieve a circular economy and accelerate the transition towards smart and sustainable cities.

For four days, a series of presentations and discussions on these topics will be held in both Spanish and English, and will be broadcast through the United Nations websites. In Valencia, the main specialists in the field of smart cities, policy makers, engineers, designers, urban planners, senior officials, regulators, standards experts and universities will meet.

The Spanish Network of Smart Cities will have a prominent presence in the session on October 4 intended for training on the construction of smarter and more sustainable cities and in which technicians from their Working groups.
