The RECI will participate in the 9th Valencia Green Standards Week

On October 1, the 9th Green Standards Week begins in Valencia, where the main national and international specialists and organizations on smart cities and environmental protection will meet for four days. The main policy makers, engineers, designers, urban planners, senior officials, regulators, standards experts and universities will be the protagonists of a platform for debate and exchange of knowledge that will aim to raise awareness about the importance and opportunities generated in the use of ICT for environmental protection, progress towards a circular economy and the transition towards smart and sustainable cities.

The Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI) will have an active role in the congress, where it will participate in Session 1 on October 4, under the motto: "Unlock the full potential of smart and sustainable cities in Spain." The meeting will feature presentations by:

  • Ruben Cid. Coordinator Working Group I. Presentation: Open government and smart tourist destinations. Ayto. La Coruña.
  • Carlos Ventura. Coordinator Working Group II and III. Presentation: Smart energy and energy districts in cities. Ayto. Rivas Vaciamadrid.
  • Modesto Mosque. Coordinator Working Group IV. Presentation: Services associated with smart mobility. Ayto. Valladolid.
  • Javier Pena. Coordinator Working Group V. Presentation: Electronic administration and enabling elements of smart cities. Town Hall. Alcobendas.

And a round table in which they will also participate:

  • María Eugenia Sánchez. Working Group II and III of the Seville City Council.
  • Jordi Cirera. Coordinator of Working Group II and III of Barcelona City Council.

Previously, on October 3 in the afternoon, the RECI Technical Committee will be held dedicated to the exchange of knowledge between the technical teams and in which the lines of joint work that the five have been developing will be presented. Working groups that make up the RECI. This meeting will be open to all RECI cities that wish to participate, for which they must be registered for the congress.
