The RECI participates in the Digital Tourist event in Benidorm

Under the title of "Promoting the application of Digital Technologies in Smart Destinations" the congress was held in Benidorm Digital Tourist 2019, organized by AMETIC. This event is established as a reference forum for the digital industry for Smart Tourist Destinations and as a meeting point for the tourism sector, administrations and the technology industry.

The event included the participation of Celia Romero, Tomeu Crespí, coordinators of the Working Group 1: Social Innovation, in charge of dealing with topics related to smart tourism, within the "Smart Destination Offices" table. During the day, emphasis was placed on the necessary public-private collaboration with companies and tourist destinations to promote the quality of the tourist offer, sustainability and accessibility.

This edition also included a plenary session of the Network of Smart Tourist Destinations (RDTI), chaired by the acting Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel María Oliver. This network is made up of a total of 105 members, of which 24 members are also members of the RECI:

  • Alcalá de Henares, Alcobendas, Almería, Aranjuez, Benidorm, Bilbao, Cáceres, Cartagena, Cuenca, Las Palmas, Leon, Lorca Málaga, Marbella, Murcia, Orihuela, Palma de Mallorca, Roquetas de Mar, Salamanca, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Santander , Seville, Valencia, Valladolid.
