The RECI participates in the FEMP Telecommunications Deployment Plans conference

The RECI participated last Wednesday, November 27, in the conference held in Madrid on "PIU and Telecommunications Deployment Plans. The new digital era of local governments." An event organized by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) which had the participation of the Secretary of State for Digital Advancement, he College of Telecommunications Engineers, the Innpulso Network and the Spanish Network of Smart Cities.

The objective of the day was mainly the presentation and dissemination among local governments of the PIU (Single Information Point) based on what is established in the General Telecommunications Law. The recipients of the event were mainly political leaders and technicians who had responsibilities in municipal management.

The event had the participation of several RECI cities that lead the Working Groups II: Energy and III: Environment. Specifically attended: Mr. Carlos Ventura, representing Rivas-Vaciamadrid; Ms. María Eugenia Sánchez, representing Seville; and Mr. Jordi Cirera, representing Barcelona, who participated in the round table entitled "The deployment of telecommunications in Local Governments. Present and the new future in the face of 5G", together with the Innpulso Network.

Their presentations revolved around standardization, automated service management, the application of urban indicators and the development of new 5G infrastructures.

For its part, the Secretary of State for Digital Advancement gave a tour of the origin and regulatory fit of the Single Information Points and the information for users that the AAPP websites must include.
