The General Assembly of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI) has elected today, February 13, at the Rafael Azcona Library in Logroño, the new presidency, vice-presidencies and board of directors.

The Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI) has renewed its governing bodies at the General Assembly of the Entity, held this Thursday at the Rafael Azcona Library in Logroño.

Seventy of the eighty-three cities that make up the RECI have elected the mayor of Logroño, Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza, as the new president, replacing the mayor of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Nuria Marín i Martinez, who was ending her term.

The assembly has also elected three vice presidents who will fall to the mayor of Santander, Gema Igual Ortiz (first vice president); the mayor of Rivas Vaciamadrid, Pedro del Cura Sánchez (second vice president): and the deputy mayor of Digital Transition and Agenda 2030 of Barcelona, Laia Boner Rull (third vice president).

The rest of the Board of Directors will be made up of the mayors of the cities of A Coruña, Algeciras, Arganda del Rey, Benidorm, Cáceres, Gijón, Granada, Huelva, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Rozas , Lugo, Madrid, Majadahonda, Motril, Orihuela, Palma de Mallorca, Roquetas de Mar, Salamanca, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Segovia, Torrent, Valencia, Valladolid and Vitoria.

The General Assembly has put an end to two days of intense work that began last Wednesday with the celebration of the RECI Technical Committee, in which the coordinators of the 5 Working Groups They presented the lines of work developed in the last year. And they continued with the “RECI Dialogues” meeting with the participation of the Secretary of Industry and SMEs of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Raúl Blanco.
