RECI advocates the use of technology at the service of citizens

The president of RECI and mayor of Logroño has spoken at the meeting 'The smart city: ICT initiatives for small and medium-sized cities' organized by the newspaper "El Español"

The president of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI), Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza, advocated this Wednesday for "the use of technology at the service of citizens, as it can and should be a lever and help to make people's lives easier." and thus put themselves at the service of citizens.

This was expressed in his speech at the meeting 'The smart city: ICT initiatives for small and medium-sized cities', organized by the digital newspaper El Español and Acciona.

Also participating in the round table, which took place at the Espacio Efímera in Madrid, were Acciona's Smart Cities Innovation Manager, Elena Navarro; the Councilor for Urban Planning and Works of Toro, Ruth Martín Alonso; the vice president of the Smart Cities Commission of Ametic (Multisectorial Association of Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies, Telecommunications and Digital Content Companies), Emilio Herrera; and the strategic director of the IESE Cities in Motion Index (University of Navarra), Joan Enric Ricart.
