The working groups carry out fundamental work within the Red Española de Ciudades Inteligentes

The activities of the working groups constitute the heart of the RECI because it allows the member cities, through the different people that comprise it, to acquire skills, knowledge and experiences that improve their work standards.

The GT of Friendly Municipalities welcomes all participating cities with less than 50,000 inhabitants registered in their municipal area and that have formally requested membership in the RECI.

This GT constitutes the best forum for the exchange of experiences and knowledge between RECI Friendly Municipalities. They also represent an incentive for the technical staff of the different local entities, because they find references and technical solutions to specific problems that they must manage on a daily basis. In this way, the work groups act as the engine of the network in terms of generation and dissemination of knowledge.

The Friends Municipalities working group meets periodically to share good practices, study results and other issues related to some of the RECI's lines of work.

These lines of work are aligned with the objectives and actions established in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of Spain; the Digital Agenda for Europe, the Spain 2025 Digital Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.

To be part of the working group, it is necessary for the municipality to be a member of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities. If so, you only have to send us an email indicating the work group of interest, town hall, job position, email and full name.
